Coming SoonThe UK Met Office issued 79 weather warnings in a single month during winter 2023. Flooding, ice storms, high winds — these are not rare events anymore. They are seasonal. This kit prepares your household to shelter in place when that is the right call, and to evacuate safely when it is not. Every item tested in British conditions.
Compact emergency blankets that retain 90% of body heat. Windproof and waterproof. Enough for a family of four.
Heavyweight reusable ponchos with full coverage including backpack. Keeps you dry when you need to move.
No batteries needed. Hand-crank LED torch that provides reliable light whenever you need it. 1 minute of cranking = 30 minutes of light.

Industrial-strength bags for waterproofing belongings, improvised rain protection, waste management, or emergency ground sheets.
British Standard compliant. Bandages, antiseptic wipes, plasters, scissors, gloves, eye wash, and burn dressings.
Stainless steel with knife, pliers, screwdriver, can opener, wire cutter. The one tool that replaces ten.
550lb breaking strength. For securing tarps, clotheslines, tying down loose items, or improvised repairs.
Dedicated weather band radio that receives Met Office severe weather alerts automatically. Your early warning system.
Scenario-specific cards: flooding, storm damage, heavy snow, ice. What to do, when to stay, when to go.
This laminated guide ships with every kit. Here's what it covers — practical steps, not theory.
Check the Met Office app or website for your specific area warning level (Yellow, Amber, Red).
Charge all devices fully. Fill bathtubs and large containers with water — your supply may be interrupted.
Move cars away from trees. Secure or bring in garden furniture, bins, trampolines. Use paracord to tie down anything that could become a projectile.
Identify your shelter room: interior room, ground floor, away from windows. Usually a hallway or under-stairs cupboard.
Prepare your go-bag: this kit, important documents (in a bin bag for waterproofing), medications, phone charger, cash.
Know your flood risk: check the Environment Agency flood map. If you are in a flood zone, prepare to move upstairs or evacuate.
STAY INSIDE unless authorities tell you to evacuate. Most storm injuries happen to people who go outside.
If flooding starts: move to the highest floor. Take this kit, your phone, and warm clothing.
Do NOT walk through floodwater. 15cm of fast-flowing water can knock you down. 60cm can float a car.
Use duct tape to seal window frames if water is coming in. Heavy-duty bin bags can protect valuables and electronics.
Wrap yourself in thermal blankets and waterproof ponchos if temperature drops. Hypothermia is a real risk in flooded homes.
Monitor the weather radio for Met Office updates. They announce road closures, evacuation centres, and rescue coordination.
Do not rush outside. Check from windows first for downed power lines, structural damage, or unstable trees.
If your home is flooded: do not turn on electricity until a qualified electrician has inspected. Floodwater and electricity kills.
Take photos of ALL damage before cleaning up. You will need these for insurance claims.
Check on neighbours, especially elderly or disabled residents.
If your home is uninhabitable, go to the nearest evacuation centre (announced on local radio). Use thermal blankets for warmth while waiting.
Use the multi-tool and duct tape for temporary repairs. Secure broken windows with bin bags and tape.
